Memdeklaro - Humanitarian stateless passport is an open source, philosophical project from Intelloidea that helps people self-declare who they are without needing third parties such as birth parents, birth cultures, or birth countries. At its core, Memdeklaro challenges the exclusionary state monopoly on identity and supports three freedoms: freedom of name, freedom of belief, and freedom of association.
Why Memdeklaro exists
Millions of people worldwide lack access to government ID. Many are refused birth certificates, national identity cards, or passports because of the circumstances of their birth, not their actions as adults. As ID becomes required for employment, housing, healthcare, education, travel, and everyday life, people can be pushed to the margins—or even criminalized simply for existing.
What self-declaration changes
Memdeklaro is built to give individuals power over their lives: the ability to leave corrupt governments, hostile environments, and abusers, and to thrive in a self-chosen community. The Solution Memdeklaro takes the power away from the state monopoly and empowers people to define their own name, culture and personal ties.
