Healing Through Freefall: Dive 22’s Mission for Veterans

Intelloidea is proud to spotlight Dive 22, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing free skydiving for U.S. military veterans. Based in Cedartown, Georgia, Dive 22 is volunteer ran and donation funded, driven by a single focus: honoring the 22 veterans lost to suicide every day. Every Dive 22 event is completely free for eligible veterans, with no cost for the jump, gear, training, or experience.

What Dive 22 Offers

Veterans apply through the Dive 22 website, get confirmed for an upcoming event, and simply show up. Dive 22 handles everything else—while videography is optional via an opt-in business service. With partners at drop zones across Georgia and the Southeast, eligible veterans from every branch qualify.

Why Freefall Matters

Dive 22’s purpose goes beyond a thrilling ride. At 13,000 feet, the noise stops and the weight lifts, offering a reset that can support healing. Many participants leave reminded that life still has moments worth showing up for—and some receive funding for full A-license certification at zero cost.
